JENNIE DONOVAN

Jennie is a highly experienced Executive Function and Academic Coach who helps individuals of all ages achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals through customized strategies and systems. Her practice is informed by the latest research in neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and education.

After 18 years working in schools, Jennie founded Donovan Strategic Learning in 2020, expanding her impact to students and schools nationwide while also broadening her work with adults. In addition to EF and Academic Coaching, Jennie provides special education advocacy, parent ADHD/EF training, and leads workshops for families and educators to support neurodiverse learners. 

Jennie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia, a Master of Education in Teaching Students with Moderate Disabilities (5th-12th) from Cambridge College, and a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Boston University. Her extensive experience includes roles such as Director of Learning Services, Learning Specialist, and high school mathematics teacher, with positions at public, boarding and independent day schools. Jennie specializes in teaching students with neurodiversity, including ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, NVLD, auditory processing disorders, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, speech and language impairments, and concussions.

MICHAEL WEBSTER

MSEd

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a minor in Philosophy from City University of New York at Brooklyn College. The following year, he graduated with a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. He is dual certified to teach both English and Math at the secondary level. Over these years he has taught and tutored Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB. Michael spent five years as a teacher and dorm parent at the Hill School in Pottstown, PA, a 9-12 private boarding school. As a dorm head, Michael mentored students in growing both personally and academically and created a young men's group in the dorm called Men of Virtue. As a basketball, track, and strength and conditioning coach, Michael is a natural motivator. He currently enjoys teaching middle school math in the Dominican Republic. Michael joined Donovan Strategic Learning and is trained in the 5-Step Learning Process. Michael is passionate about guiding students through the process of learning how to learn. His approach when working with students is to instill confidence in them and equip them with the tools to solve problems on their own. Much like life, confidence is essential in becoming the best learner you can be, and that is his goal for each of his students.

Brannon O'Connor

EdM

Brannon is a life-long learner and enjoys inspiring a love of learning in others. She is currently a Learning Specialist in Brooklyn, NY where she specializes in middle school math. She earned her Bachelor’s in English from Wheaton College and her Masters in Special Education from New York University. Brannon believes in a holistic approach to education: tailoring learning to the whole student, being mindful of previous learning experiences, and ensuring that each student’s voice and needs are centered.
